Stock Trading - Trade Once Per Week (And Make Money)
Stock trading can take lots of time. It can take too much time. I know, believe me, I know. So I want to offer you a simple solution. I want to give you a way to trade the stock market and do it only one time per week (and make money in the process). Fair enough?
Okay, let's dig in . . .
I'm a big fan of using options in trading to help take away some of the risk of trading. Yes, I know most people think of options as risky, and the definitely can be used in very risky ways. But I use them conservatively.
Here's how: covered calls.
I'm sure you've heard of them. There are ways to do them right, and there are ways to do them wrong. Do it right, and you are in the money.
The right way, is to stick to very stable, large companies. Many covered call traders just try to snag the largest premium. Not a good idea.
Stick with the profitable, large companies, and you will do well. Furthermore, it only takes one time per week to really do this. Put the trade on, and then check it weekly.
Most likely, no adjustments will need to be made, but sometimes, you will need to fix things.
For example, if the price is dropping, you may need to roll the calls down to grab more time premium and to keep the trade from going into the red.
The key here is to stick with companies that are boring, very big and make money. Sure your returns are smaller on those companies. The option premium is smaller.
That's okay. Sure money is better than money that you only may have.
