Does Blogging Make Money?
One of my friends asked me does blogging make money. I looked at him somewhat confused by the question. I thought maybe it was trick questions or something. It was only when I realized he was serious I said emphatically: YES! Blogging does make you money.
Looking back on this, I guess I can see the reason for the question. People are starting to look for additional ways to make money from home. I mean, who really wants to spend all of your life at work? Not me, that's for sure.
But the extent of his question is from the basis everyone you just about know has a blog, and they do not make any money at it. So why not? Are they just having a blog for the fun of it? Or, do they really not know how to make money blogging? I lean towards the latter question.
To make money blogging does take a little skill. Not much, but there are some steps you need to take to ensure you are on the right path and at least have a chance at making some money.
For starters, you need to have a topic you are well versed in, or are very interested in. Do not think for one second you will be able to fake your way through a topic just to make some money at it. It will never happen. So, choose your topic wisely.
The next step is the part most people leave out. They do not do their research before they start writing. Did you know you can do research to find out the exact phrase people are using when looking for products? Yeah, me neither when I first started out. But, now that I know this, I can serve up any product to them just the way they like it.
Lastly, you need to write a good article. Not just one that grabs the readers attention, but one that will also grab the attention of the search engines. This is the other area that really separates the professional bloggers from the amateurs.
The professionals know all of these little secrets and tid bits. This is why you find their blog articles when looking for stuff. And, they have well written articles to go along with it.
All of these are very important when writing a blog for money. If you can follow certain parameters, you will be highly successful and will surely have a profit pulling blog.
