Build Your 6-Figure eBay Income Series - Make Money by Selling Other People's Junk

A great way to make money on eBay is by selling items for other people. You can start by selling stuff that your friends or family no longer wants, and take a small commission for each you sell. You'd be surprised how many people you know don't have an eBay account, or have one with less than ideal feedback.

As a matter of fact, I was checking out eBay on my friend's computer, and his feedback was only 80% positive. I asked him about it, and apparently, he did not paid for some of the auctions he won because he no longer wanted them. Many new eBayers think this way. They don't think of winning as a binding contract, and therefore destroys their feedback.

Had he tried to sell anything on that account, he would not have gotten the best of results for obvious reasons. He was happy to ask for my help when he needed to sell 4 tickets to an event he wasn't able to attend. I kept about 10% for the deal, which was $20, not including eBay or Paypal fees. It took me only about 10 minutes to set everything up.

As you can see, this is a win-win situation. I make easy money, and I did not have to find products to sell, which can be one of the most difficult tasks when it comes to making money on eBay. My friend, on the other hand, also won. He did not have the expertise or account to sell the tickets himself. He probably got a lot more, even after the $20 difference, by leveraging on my reputation. Plus, he didn't have to do any work, as I set up the auction. I'm like a medium between him and his buyer.

The good thing about this type of business is that you can start by doing it for family and friends. Most people have a ton of junk lying around their homes, some of which may be quite valuable to others. They will also love you for clearing out the space if their items are rather large.
